The Consultancy is respected for it’s independent and realistic professional advice based on Bill Lowe’s thirty three years of experience in local government and private practice.

Experience was initially gained as a local government planning officer in Cheshire, Stoke on Trent and Somerset, dealing with the reclamation and regeneration of derelict urban and rural land sites, residential development for both national house builders and smaller scale local builders, industrial and commercial proposals, rural development and agricultural issues, together with enforcement / lawful use cases resulting from breaches of planning control.

This was followed by a period as an associate director, specialising in planning, with a regional firm of rural land agents and, later, as an in-house consultant to a national Building Society concentrating on optimising the value of repossessed commercial assets. This has given a commercial edge to future work which has built up the Consultancy’s depth and scope.

The Consultancy networks with an established team of related professionals in the development industry to provide a comprehensive service for its clients.

As the process of obtaining consent has become more complex, it is important to put forward credible supporting arguments based on a sound understanding of environmental law and up to date national and local planning policy guidance. Particularly in enforcement and lawful use cases, the past planning history of an application site, a proper understanding of the latest Appeal or Court judgements can influence the outcome of a case.
